Mayfair-Plymouth Youth Ministries
"They devoted themselves to
the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to
prayer." –Acts 2:42
Our Purpose:
We exist to impact the lives of all youth by
providing a variety of opportunities for young people to develop an enduring
faith in Jesus Christ, a sense of belonging in His church, and an attitude of
service to those around us.
How do we fulfill our purpose?
·
Sunday School
(9-10am): Junior and Senior High Youth meet together for instruction and
interaction with the Bible and how it applies to our lives.
·
Wednesday Night
(5:45-7:30pm): As part of “Church Family Night”, youth are split into smaller
groups for deeper discussions on contemporary faith issues.
·
Study Buddies
(Wed.@3-5:45pm):
Youth hang out at the church to work on homework together and deepen our
friendships.
·
C.R.A.S.H.
(various Saturdays @6-9pm): “Christians Relaxing At Someone’s
House” is an opportunity for families to open their home for the youth to
hang out. Food and fun are always popular for building our relationships!
·
T.G.I.F.
(Fridays @3-5pm): Another opportunity to build our friendships; hang-out, play
PS2, shoot hoops, etc., etc.
·
Special Events:
We regularly participate in 30-hour Famine, Acquire the Fire, Summer Mission
Trips, Weekend Retreats/Getaways, Concerts… whatever we can do to spread the
Love of Christ to every person within the group and beyond.
